SURGICAL TESTING AND ASSESSMENT REVIEW (STAR)

In most instances, patients will come to the Surgery Center about a week before their procedure for a STAR appointment.

Upon arrival, you will be greeted by the receptionist who will assist you in registering for the procedure.

After this, you will spend some time with the STAR nurse who will obtain your medical history, perform testing requested by your doctor, give you instructions as to what to do to prepare for your surgery, and answer any questions you may have.

The total time for this visit will vary from patient to patient but, on average, will take 30-45 minutes. Please bring all current medications with you to your STAR appointment.
